The Cyclotrope Circus
Jacquelyn Hébert, Megan Turnbull and Nathalie Coulson La Nuit Blanche, Saturday, September 28, 7-9 pm at MAWA The Cyclotrope Circus is a kinetic sculpture based on the idea of a zoetrope, an old cinematic apparatus that creates the illusion of motion from a sequence of static images. Inspired by Eadweard Muybridge’s photographic experiments of the 19th century, The Cyclotrope examines everyday gestures and movements.
