Chief Peguis Trail Extension Public Information Kick Off
November 25, 2014 @ 16:00 - 19:00
Correction: Note that we had previously listed the wrong date for the public information kick-off. Please make sure to update your calendars with the correct date.
The City of Winnipeg has initiated a study to gain insight into the use of and expectations for the new Chief Peguis Trail Extension, west from Main Street to Brookside Boulevard. From now until the spring of 2015, the study will be looking at opportunities and consideration such as:
- Alignment of the Roadway Corridor
- Intersection Design
- Sound Reduction
- Pedestrian and Cycling Routes
- Greenspace Features
- Existing Natural Habitats
What connections would you like to see as part of the project? How will this project connect into Winnipeg’s proposed cycling network?Does it make sense to push forward with the extension of the Chief Peguis Trail now or does it make more sense to focus limited infrastructure dollars in other projects such as the cycling network or rapid transit? Attend the public information session and have your say.
