McGowan Russel Group will be hosting a public open house to inform the public of the Master Area Plan they have developed for the Bishop Grandin Crossing precinct for Hopewell Development Corporation.

Help ensure that the master plan under development for Bishop Grandin Crossing includes quality cycling connections.

These are the Sugar Beet Lands, or precinct H in the City’s Complete Communities guide, which states that as a major redevelopment site, these lands should be developed in accordance with the principles of Transit Oriented Development.

Bike Winnipeg will be working to ensure that the development of this community include provisions for the safe, convenient and comfortable transportation of cyclists traveling into or through the community, and asks that cyclists with knowledge of the area attend the open house to provide their feedback on this important plan.

In particular, we will be reviewing the plans to ensure that the communities internal bicycle network includes links to the Southwest Rapid Transit Corridor, the Pembina buffered bicycle lanes, the Bishop Grandin Greenway, and the McGillvray pathway.
