Arlington Bridge Replacement / Arlington Protected Bike Lanes Review

September 16, 2015 @ 19:00 - 21:00

Arlington Bridge Replacement / Arlington Protected Bike Lanes Review

The Arlington Bridge will be replaced by 2020. While the replacement will include greatly improved facilities to accommodate people on foot and on bike, planning for the bridge only extends from Alexander Avenue in the south to Selkirk Avenue in the north. Now is the time to think not just about how the new bridge will accommodate people on foot and on bicycle, but also about how people walking or biking over the new bridge will get to and from that bridge.

Join Bike Winnipeg and the Daniel McIntyre St. Mathews Community Association on Wednesday September 16th as we present some ideas for a protected bike lane on Arlington and a Neighourhood Greenway along Ruby/Banning that would help create comfortable, convenient connections to a new Arlington Bridge. We hope that you will provide us with feedback on the plans that can then be put forward to the consulting team undertaking the planning process for the city.
