DESCRIPTION:Winnipeg AIM Riders for Rwankole\n\nRiding for Africa Inland Mission (AIM)\n\n\nSupport AIM Canada’s Rwankole Medical Centre Fistula Program in Bunia\, Democratic Republic of Congo \n\n\nRide for Refuge Winnipeg are riding in support of AIM Canada’s Rwankole Medical Centre Fistula Program in Bunia\, Democratic Republic of Congo. We are riding so that women who are suffering from the debilitating and isolating effects of vaginal fistula can receive the care and treatment they need. Rare in North America\, vaginal fistula occurs when women go through long\, difficult labour without access to C-sections or other interventions\, and as a result of violent rape – something that in and of itself is a huge problem in the war torn DRC. Because of the constant urine and/or feces leakage that results from vaginal fistula and the inability to have more children\, many of these women are rejected by their husbands\, families and friends. Please give generously to help our team to make a difference for wives\, mothers\, sisters and daughters in DRC. Knowing you’re supporting us will be a great encouragement!
