SUMMARY:Public Engagement (Open House) - Princess Protected Bike Lane
DESCRIPTION:The Princess Protected Bike Lane project will carry out cycling\, pedestrian and vehicular needs assessment studies. These include area stakeholder engagement\, to develop recommendations for the City to complete the Princess Street protected bike connections from William Avenue to Higgins Avenue. Impacts and opportunities related to on-street parking will also be considered. \nThe City has developed a proposed preliminary design of a protected bike lane\, based on previous stakeholder feedback\, that will further connect North Winnipeg and the west Exchange District with the rest of the Downtown network and Assiniboine Avenue bike lanes\, closing gaps in the Downtown network. \nThe City is asking for public input regarding the proposed preliminary design\, including the cycling and pedestrian improvements\, streetscaping and on-street parking. Feedback will help identify that community priorities and interests are reflected in the recommended design. \nOnline\nPlease see the proposed enhancements under the Preliminary Design tab and submit your comments through an online comment form. \nIn-person opportunities \nJoin the project team at an information session to discuss the project. Drop-by format (come and go). \nDate: Wednesday\, December 5\, 2018\nTime: 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.\nLocation: Red River College – Roblin Centre Dining Hall\, 160 Princess Street. \nFor inquiries\, or for those who require alternate formats to participate\, please contact Rachel Driedger\, Project Controls at 204-928-8691 or PrincessStProject@winnipeg.ca by December 3rd. \nContact the project team or sign up for project updates here: PrincessStProject@winnipeg.ca
