DESCRIPTION:MEC’s annual BikeFest event takes place Saturday May 28th outside in the back lane behind the store. They’ll be having various  events\, demonstrations\, maintenance courses and hands on clinics. Come and enjoy a sticky bun from Jonnie’s Sticky Buns and say “Hi” to all the friendly cycling folks! \nSchedule \nThe day starts at 10am and ends at 4pm \n\n10:30 – 11:00 – Fitting your bike to you\n10:30 – Noon – Advanced Road Ride\n11:00 – 11:30 – Injury Prevention with Laurie Van Middlesworth of Impact Physiotherapy\n11:30 – Noon – Cycling on the Road clinic with Winnipeg Transit and the Winnipeg Police Service\nNoon – 1:00 – Practical Road Skills hands on clinic taught by Can-Bike\nNoon – 3:00 – Kids bike decoration with Art City\n1:00 – 2:00 – Flaming Cheetahs challenge course (for kids)\n1:00 – 2:30 – Winnipeg Cycling Routes Ride with Bike Winnipeg\n2:30 – 3:30 – Bike Mechanics 101\n\nAll day \n\nQuick tweeks to your bike done by Coop Vélo-Cité\nTest ride any of our bikes at MEC\nChat with various cycling clubs and vendors about everything cycling!\n\nPlease drop by and visit us to talk about some of the projects we are working on to make cycling better in Winnipeg\, or join us for an easy paced ride around the downtown highlighting some of the downtown’s existing and upcoming infrastructure.
