SUMMARY:CPR Crossing Bicycle Connectivity Workshop
DESCRIPTION:As part of the ongoing CPR Yards Crossing Study\, Bike Winnipeg would like to invite you to share your hopes and aspirations for better bicycle crossings of the CPR Yards. Please join us at the CPR Crossing Bicycle Connectivity Workshop taking place at the Sinclair Park Community Centre on Tuesday February 24th for a community discussion to help improve bicycle connectivity across the CPR Yards once the Arlington Bridge is decommissioned in 2020. \nThe goal of the workshop is to help us better understand the needs of current and potential cyclists who travel (or would like to travel) across the CPR Yards to reach their everyday destinations on either side the CPR Yards. \nWhen: Tuesday February 24th\nRegistration: 6:00-6:30pm\nWorkshop: 6:30-9:00pm \nWhere: Sinclair Park Community Centre\n490 Sinclair Street\nWinnipeg\, MB \nWe`ll have information about the current CPR Yards Crossing Study Process\, current and planned or proposed bicycle routes in and around the study area\, and best practices from around the world that have been proven to encourage more people to ride their bikes. \n \nShare your Opinions\, Help us Map Barriers\nWhether you are a regular cyclist\, occasional cyclist\, or even just someone who is interested in riding their bike\, we want you to share your expectations for bicycle friendly infrastructure that should be included in this and future projects. \nWhat would it take to get you cycling over the yards? Where you would like to be able to bike in the neighbourhood\, and where are the barriers to cycling that currently prevent or limit the rate of cycling in the study area. \nThe information and opinions we collect will be summed up in a report\, forwarded on to CPR Yards Crossing study process\, and made available to all workshop participants. \nWe will have a door prize for those that register\, plus snacks and beverages to keep participants energized.
