DESCRIPTION:Please join us for the Annual General Meeting of Bike Winnipeg Saturday November 16th and learn about recent and planned activities of Bike Winnipeg in our efforts to make cycling in Winnipeg a safe\, enjoyable\, accessible and convenient transportation choice year round. The AGM will be followed by a panel discussion of cycling related issues in St. Boniface and a mix and mingle session. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. RSVP`s are appreciated so that we can get an estimate on attendance\, but not required. \nWhen: Saturday November 16th\, 2013 1:00pm – 4:00pm\,\nWhere: Antoine-Gaborieau Hall\nCentre culturel franco-manitobain (CCFM)\n340 Provencher Boulevard\nWinnipeg\, Manitoba\, Canada R2H 0G7 \nAgenda for the afternoon: \nAGM : \n\nApproval of Agenda\nIntroductions\nAdoption of Minutes\nBoard Reports\nBoard Resolutions\nNominations & Voting\nAdjournment\n\nPanel Discussion: Cycling in St. Boniface – What exists\, where are the gaps\, and where are the opportunities \nMix & Mingle: Enjoy some snacks and refreshments on us and hang out with your fellow cyclists! \nResolutions to be considered at the AGM:\n1) Resolution to Change the Name of the Organization \nWhereas the Board of Directors voted at the April monthly meeting to change the name of the organization from Bike to the Future to Bike Winnipeg; and \nWhereas the organization has adopted a new logo at the May monthly meeting; and\nWhereas the organization has operated under the name of Bike Winnipeg since the May monthly meeting;\nTherefore be it resolved that the by-laws of the organization be amended to state the name of the organization as “Bike Winnipeg\,” replacing the name “Bike to the Future” wherever it appears in the by-laws\, and that the necessary documents be filed with     the Companies Office for the purpose of changing the name of the organization from Bike to the Future Inc. to Bike Winnipeg Inc. \nAmended by-laws can be viewed here. Our existing by-laws can be viewed here. \n2) Resolution to Set Sub-Committee Terms of Reference \nWhereas the organization has grown substantially in the past six years; and\nWhereas it is desirous for some of the work of the organization to be performed by committees; and\nWhereas committees represent an opportunity for members to become more involved in the work of the organization; and\nWhereas the work of a committee benefits from a clear mandate and a clear description of its authority;\nTherefore be it resolved that the members adopt the Terms of Reference presented.Draft sub-committee terms of reference can be viewed here.\n  \n
