DESCRIPTION:Help raise funds to send bikes to Uganda!\nTickets $10. Chance to win a grand prize: trip for 2 to Jets vs. Wild in Minneapolis.\nFor ticket information call 204 990-9744. All proceeds from the social go directly towards shipping costs! \nMarymound school has started the Winnipeg chapter of Bicycles for Humanity (B4H). If you are unaware of B4H\, they have over 60 chapters set up all over the world. B4H chapters select a developing country with mobility issues and sends 400-500 bikes in a shipping container there. Each chapter is run by volunteers who are responsible for bike collection and fundraising the shipping costs of sending the bikes there. \nWe have decided to send our bikes to a school for girls in North East Uganda. The bikes will be used by the students and staff who go there. The estimated shipping cost of sending the bikes there is $7\,000. We have slowly been working on small fundraisers here at the school doing craft and bake sales at school functions.
